This Privacy Policy explains how Woven (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit wovenmag.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our third-party partners automatically collect certain technical information, including: your IP address; browser type and version; operating system; referring URLs; pages visited and time spent; date and time of access; and general geographic location derived from your IP address. This information is collected through cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies.

Information you provide. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, if provided, your first name. We do not require account creation to access Site content.

Advertising data. When advertising is enabled on the Site, our advertising partners may collect information about your browser, device, and browsing behavior across websites to serve targeted advertisements. See Section 4 for details.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to: operate, maintain, and improve the Site; analyze how the Site is used; deliver and measure advertising; send newsletters to subscribers; comply with legal obligations; and protect our legal rights and the rights of others.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect aggregated, anonymized data about Site usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. The data collected cannot identify you personally. Google may process this data on its own servers in accordance with its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Comscore. We also use Comscore, a third-party audience measurement service, to understand how visitors engage with the Site. Comscore collects aggregated, anonymized information about Site usage and sets a first-party cookie named _scor_uid in your browser to assign an anonymous identifier. The data collected does not personally identify you. Comscore may process this data on its own servers in accordance with its privacy policy at comscore.com/Web-Privacy-Policy.

4. Advertising and Ad Networks

We participate in Google AdSense and may participate in other third-party advertising networks. These networks use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to serve advertisements targeted to your interests.

7. Email Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Woven newsletter, we collect your email address and, optionally, your first name. We use this information solely to send the newsletter. We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber lists with third parties for marketing purposes. 8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to know: The right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
  • Right to delete: The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions

We process personal data on the following lawful bases under Article 6 of the GDPR: (a) your consent, obtained through our consent management platform for advertising and analytics cookies; (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and (c) compliance with legal obligations.

Your rights. You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
  • Receive your personal data in a portable format
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including for direct marketing
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority

International data transfers. As described in Section 14 (International Users), your information may be transferred to the United States. Where applicable, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. 11. Data Retention

We retain analytics data in accordance with Google Analytics’ default retention settings. Newsletter subscriber information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. We retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information collected through the Site. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites with their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for those practices and encourage you to review them independently.

14. International Users

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.
